Patient Access RepresentativeAs a Patient Access Coordinator, you will be one of the first points of contact for patients beginning or continuing their care at Roswell Park. In this important role, you'll help guide patients through the healthcare journey by coordinating appointments, gathering information, communicating with care teams, and ensuring patients are prepared for their visits. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a talent for organization and problem-solving. Your work will help ensure patients receive timely access to care while creating a positive and supportive experience from the very first interaction. The starting annual salary for this position is $42,641 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.In this role, you will:Serve as a key point of contact for patients, families, referring providers, and internal care teamsCoordinate the intake and registration process for new and returning patientsGather and review patient information to support appointment scheduling and care coordinationSchedule clinic visits, consultations, diagnostic testing, and other services as neededCommunicate with referring physicians and healthcare providers to obtain necessary information and recordsHelp patients navigate the appointment process and answer questions about next stepsCoordinate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure a seamless patient experienceAssist with hospital admissions and other access-related activitiesVerify insurance information and support financial clearance processesMaintain accurate records and ensure timely documentation of patient informationWe're looking for someone who:Enjoys helping people and providing exceptional customer serviceHas strong organizational skills and can effectively manage multiple prioritiesCommunicates clearly and professionally with patients, families, providers, and colleaguesIs detail-oriented and committed to accuracyWorks well independently while also collaborating with a teamRemains calm and compassionate in a fast-paced healthcare environmentHas strong problem-solving skills and can navigate complex situations with professionalismIs comfortable working with technology, scheduling systems, and patient informationPrevious experience in patient access, healthcare scheduling, medical office administration, customer service, healthcare registration, insurance verification, or care coordination is beneficial but not required.At Roswell Park, every role contributes to a shared mission of delivering exceptional care and advancing cancer treatment.
