Japanese Bilingual Accounting or Tax Staff Experienced

Location: Gardena, CA (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office)

Employment Type: Part-time to Full-time (20-40 hours/week), Non-Exempt

Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 (annualized, depending on experience)

We are a Japanese accounting firm seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Accounting or Tax Staff Experienced to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience, as well as those with an accounting background who are interested in further developing their career in accounting and/or tax, including pursuing a CPA in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and/or tax-related services for clients
• Assist with bookkeeping, general ledger, and reconciliations
• Support preparation of financial statements and reports
• Assist with tax preparation and related documentation (if applicable)
• Communicate with clients via email and other correspondence
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity
• Collaborate with team members to support daily operations

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting and/or tax experience
• Experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, bookkeeping, or similar roles (In-house accounting experience is also acceptable)
• Accounting major preferred, or candidates who are interested in pursuing a CPA license
• Familiarity with accounting software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Language Requirement

• Japanese-English bilingual required
