AML Analyst

We are looking for an AML Analyst to support anti-money laundering reviews in Washington, District of Columbia. This Long-term Contract position focuses on examining customer activity, identifying reportable cash transactions, and recognizing patterns that may indicate suspicious or restricted financial behavior. The individual in this role will help maintain compliance with regulatory standards by assessing documentation carefully and escalating concerns when needed.Responsibilities:• Review customer transaction records to identify cash activity that meets regulatory reporting thresholds.• Analyze account behavior for unusual trends, inconsistencies, or indicators of potentially illicit financial activity.• Examine customer files and supporting documentation to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with AML standards.• Prepare and maintain required records related to reportable currency transactions for regulatory review.• Escalate transactions or account activity that warrant additional investigation based on established compliance guidelines.• Collaborate with internal compliance and operations teams to ensure timely handling of AML-related casework.• Document findings clearly and maintain organized audit-ready records of reviews and decisions.
