Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - PreOp Clinic

Position Summary: We are looking for an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant to work per diem hours within our PreOp Clinic. Key Responsibilities: Providing care coordination in partnership with physicians as an integral member of the Perioperative Services Team. Performing histories and physical examinations on infants, children and adults with simple to complex clinical and care coordination needs. Synthesizing clinical data. Communicating critical information to interdisciplinary care team. Providing pre-operative education to patients and families. Diagnosing and prescribing for common illnesses affecting procedural readiness. Working collaboratively with primary care physicians/specialists, when necessary, to medically optimize for anesthesia/surgery. Provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care. Shift times will be 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday. Minimum Qualifications Education: A Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies Experience: 3 years of PNP/FNP or PA experience in acute care, inpatient Medical-Surgical care or Primary Care preferred. Pediatric experience preferred.
