Sales Manager - Renewable Energy and Data Centers
SUMMARY
The Vertical Sales Leader is responsible for developing and executing a focused sales strategy within assigned industry verticals. This role drives revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and positioning the company as a preferred partner within targeted markets. The ideal candidate combines strong strategic sales leadership with deep industry knowledge and a proven track record of delivering results in a B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a vertical-specific sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives
- Identify high-value target accounts within assigned industry vertical(s)
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Achieve or exceed annual sales and revenue targets
- Expand existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and solution-based selling
- Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics within assigned verticals
- Translate market insights into actionable sales strategies
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for assigned verticals
- Partner with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and messaging for vertical markets
- Collaborate with product, operations, and customer service teams to ensure successful solution delivery
- Work closely with executive leadership to align vertical strategy with overall business goals
- Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and close
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting
- Provide regular updates on vertical performance, opportunities, and risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–10+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, preferably in a vertical or solution-based sales model
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong understanding of consultative and strategic selling methodologies
- Experience working with CRM systems (Hubspot)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Travel required: Up to 40%
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, electrical, industrial, or related B2B sectors
- Prior experience working with cross-functional teams
- Background in strategic account management or enterprise sales

Compensation & Structure
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission/bonus
- Car allowance or travel reimbursement (if applicable)
