Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion. Collect relevant data, assess health status, analyze findings, and identify care issues; develop and implement a plan of care. Coordinate care delivery, promote patient safety, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients, families, and treatment team; provide learning opportunities and health information; delegate appropriately and supervise tasks within the care team. Maintain accurate documentation, including entry in the hospital’s electronic health record system (EPIC) and adherence to infection control and safety standards.
