Qualifications:

• Senior Irrigation Service Technicians need two years or more of irrigation production experience in the field ensuring client satisfaction with quality outcomes in accordance with our production standards.
• Minimum one year of irrigation production experience in the field (pro-rated with advanced education).
• Two or four-year degree from an accredited college in irrigation or related area preferred.
• Possess knowledge of construction, horticulture and/or landscaping is helpful.
• Possess credentials as Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) preferred.
• Required to possess and maintain valid, regular driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Required to successfully complete a preplacement physical (to include lifting 50 pounds) and drug screen.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain and repair irrigation systems.
• Execute timely servicing and quality of work at all customer locations where irrigation work is done.
• Layout and install new or renovated irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot irrigation systems to determine repair needs.
• Pull and fit pipes for irrigation systems.
• Set sprinkler heads and valve boxes.
• Test irrigation systems for proper functioning.
• Purchase parts required to repair, create, or renovate irrigation systems while maintaining accurate inventory and strict cost controls to ensure job is performed within required financial requirements.
• Gather and update historical data for each account regarding water sources, point of connection and mainline location, services performed, and parts installed.
• Activate and deactivate irrigation systems according to seasonal priorities or pre-established schedules.
• Partner with customer by suggesting watering schedules and tactics to reduce water usage and costs and propose solutions during periods of drought or water restrictions.
• Communicate with customers on a routine basis to ensure satisfaction with service and solve problems to foster a positive, long-term relationship and discuss additional opportunities.
• Ensure irrigation jobs are managed within budget to meet or exceed all required financial performance metrics.
• Adjust irrigation schedules to maximize capacity and efficiency of workflow.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist in solving work problems.
• Review and monitor equipment maintenance programs and upkeep of vehicles used to service clients in designated area.
• Manage upkeep of irrigation systems in designated area.
• Partners with and directs laborers to where needed on irrigation projects/jobs.
