Field Service Technician

Overview Field Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on commissioning, quality control, and customer technical support for Manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically and electrically skilled, and motivated to deliver exceptional service to our customers while ensuring equipment meets our high-quality standards. Job Details Job Title: Machine Commissioning and Service Technician Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 + Benefits Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr Shift Pattern: M-F, travel to client site required. Up to 60 days a year. Travel will be M-F (no weekends) and expenses fully paid for. Industry: Machine Manufacturing Key Responsibilities Download to PLCs and HMIs, commission systems, and perform service/repairs, including working with high-voltage panels, sensors, motors, and controls. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components to identify and resolve issues. Inspect machinery for quality compliance and provide corrective feedback to assembly and engineering teams. Submit Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for equipment or process improvements. Collaborate with customers and internal staff to provide installation support and training. Commission, function test, and conduct quality control checks on all new equipment. Administer schedules, coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT). Deliver technical training to customers and distributors. Provide high-quality technical phone support and maintain service call logs. Assist with product testing, trade show setup/teardown, and related machine functions. Travel required: approximately 25 - 50 days annually. Qualifications Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude. Proficient in reading mechanical assembly drawings and electrical schematics. Skilled in troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems. Possess a complete mechanical and electrical tool set. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
