Maintenance Lead

The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products.The Gill Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Lead who under minimum supervision, installs, maintains, repairs or rebuilds complicated machine tools and special purpose machines and plant equipment. Responsible for making decisions on 2nd and 3rd shifts.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities.Responsibilities:Disassembles problem equipment and determines extent of repairs necessary.Repairs, refits or replaces worn or defective parts.Troubleshoot various plant equipment and systems.Installs new plant equipment under engineering supervision.Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools.Manage or participate in the management of the handling, storage and disposal manifesting of hazardous substances or hazardous waste and the disposal of chemicals, e.g. asbestos;Repairs electrical equipment.Other essential duties may be assigned.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
