With our unwavering commitment to excellence, we are confident that our team will thrive and succeed in all areas of their lives.Position OverviewThe EF Coach position will work with the primary objective of improving learner outcomes by working to build teacher capacity and understanding of content standards, data driven instruction, best practices in an online environment and technology needs specific to the independent study model. The EF Coach will work with facilitators through staff wide professional development, group and individual coaching, co-planning, modeling, and observation. Through social-emotional learning, diversity, equity, and inclusion and Project-Based Learning, the EF Coach supports the vision of iLEAD California while increasing student achievement.Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuild strong relationships with facilitators, leadership, and staff.Support facilitators and administrators/leadership in using data to improve instruction.Assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated lessons, and the selection of best practices to meet the needs of their students.Informally observe (non-evaluative) lessons and provide feedback for a teacher's professional growth and students' success.Develop staff members' knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through a variety of professional development targeted topics and designs.Utilize Adult Learning Theory to motivate adult learners to improve professional practice.Attend conferences, webinars and other professional development opportunities and bring back pertinent and relevant information to guide practices and support.Support the philosophy and vision of iLEAD CaliforniaImproves teachers' ability to understand, plan and assess student progress toward meeting standards.Improves teachers' content, management and instructional strategies to better address the needs of all learners.Participates in new staff training and professional development activities for facilitators.Takes a leadership role in professional development activities.Prepares reports, maintains program files and record keeping systems for accountability.Demonstrates a working knowledge and use of instructional strategies for working with the diverse needs of students in multiple content areas.Other ResponsibilitiesBe self-directed by taking initiative and responsibility for your work.Work in a collaborative, team based and innovative environment.Commit to Excellence by seeking ways to improve and exceed expectations or Commit to excellence by seeking to raise the bar for self and team.Prioritize the growth and needs of the team, lead by example, and foster a supportive work environment.High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.Approach problems and challenges with a human-centered creative mindset, seeks to understand, develops multiple solutions to find the best answer.Helps create a positive culture by being committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion promoting ethical behavior and social responsibility within the workplace.Be authentic, own your strengths and weaknesses, ask for help when needed, be honest and transparent in your communications, working towards common goals that are meaningful to you and the team.Represent iLEAD and the school in which work in a positive and professional manner in all interactions and communications.Pursue continuous improvement and maintain professional competence through seeking out opportunities to develop new knowledge skills and perspectives. (In Person/Telephone/Computer)Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.When needed to support a school or education program, must have the ability to travel by public transit as well as operate a vehicle for self-transportation purposes between worksites.Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.May encounter outdoor elements: high (>90)/low (<60) temperatures, precipitation and/or wind.Ability to work in situations involving the need to make informed and quick decisions.Ability to supervise/manage workers and delegate as needed in project management situations.Reading detailed documentation and analyzing data sets.Writing professionally, both by hand and utilizing computer software.Speaking in public settings including making public presentations to large and small groups.Dealing and navigating professionally through high-stress situations.Qualifications2+ years experience in a professional coaching positionBachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityValid California CredentialDemonstrate proficiency in technology skills with the ability to learn and use online platforms, systems and software to support learning and record keeping.Previous experience with homeschool or independent study programs preferred.Demonstrate ability to perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.Demonstrate standards of moral character and maintain a professional demeanor to serve as an effective role model for learners.Exercise mature judgment in working with confidential information.Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.Work independently, be a self starter, problem solve and multi-task.Establish and maintain friendly, cooperative and effective working relationships with all learners, families and staff.Ability to take and edit high quality digital photos.Understand, recommend and support a variety of learning styles, philosophies, and approaches to better support the homeschool endeavor.Ability to align and assign curriculum and activities with standards and to adopt grading practices that can be used authentically assess a learner's progress.Willingness to be involved on teams and committees to support the school's mission and vision.Belief in the iLEAD California mission and a willingness to work as a vital part of the iLEAD California team to ensure excellence in learning opportunities and contribute to the iLEAD community as a whole.Understand and apply Steven Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" as well as Schoolwide Learning Outcomes (SLOs).Demonstrate leadership qualities and collaborate with teammates.Implement plans and adjust as necessary.Exhibit conflict resolution skills necessary for resolving issues as they arise.Provide evaluations and feedback for team members as applicable.
