Vince Ovecka State Farm is seeking a customer-focused Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team as a Customer Retention Specialist.

This is a service-dominant role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and building long-term relationships. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for existing customers, assisting with policy needs, billing questions, renewals, coverage reviews, and other service-related concerns.

While customer service and retention are the primary focus, this is not a service-only position. We’re looking for someone who can recognize customer needs, confidently recommend appropriate coverage, and naturally pivot service conversations into inside sales opportunities.

Insurance or State Farm experience is preferred, but we are willing to develop the right person who brings exceptional customer service skills, coachability, and a willingness to learn.

Licensing Requirements

Insurance licensing is required for this position.

• Property & Casualty license must be obtained prior to your Day 1 start date.

• Life & Health license must be obtained within an established timeframe once onboarding begins.

• Fully licensed candidates are strongly preferred.

• Licensing guidance and support are available for qualified candidates completing the process.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a primary point of contact for existing customers.

• Assist with policy changes, billing questions, renewals, coverage questions, and account updates.

• Provide knowledgeable and compassionate support when customers have claims-related questions.

• Conduct proactive customer outreach and policy reviews.

• Build relationships that strengthen customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

• Identify coverage gaps and opportunities to better protect customers.

• Pivot service conversations into appropriate inside sales and cross-selling opportunities.

• Recommend additional Auto, Home, Renters, Life, and other insurance products based on customer needs.

• Confidently ask for the business and close appropriate in-book sales opportunities.

• Follow up consistently and maintain accurate customer records.

• Contribute to agency retention, service, and production goals.

• Previous insurance, State Farm agency, account management, or customer service experience preferred.

• Current insurance licensing is a plus.
