Senior Director, Clinical Science, Genitourinary (GU) Oncology (Hybrid)

Senior Director role providing strategic clinical science leadership across genitourinary oncology studies, programs, and assets at Merck. Responsible for disease area strategy, scientific standardization, portfolio governance contributions, and direct management of clinical science staff. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic clinical science leadership across multiple GU oncology studies and programs
- Lead standardization of clinical science approaches, medical data review practices, and scientific standards across the portfolio
- Guide clinical data interpretation across studies to support program and disease area decision-making
- Contribute clinical science perspective to governance discussions, protocol development, and senior leadership reviews
- Manage and develop directors, principal scientists, and clinical scientists within the disease area
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of genitourinary cancers, disease biology, and treatment landscape
- Extensive experience in clinical development and clinical science leadership
- Expertise in clinical endpoint selection and study design considerations
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and matrix leadership capabilities
- Experience managing and developing clinical science teams
- Demonstrated ability to translate scientific insights into development strategy
