Part-Time Retail Sales Cashier Associate - Bear Valley Store

Excellent customer service skills are a must! Our Retail Centers are open 9AM to 9PM Monday through Saturday and 9AM to 8PM Sunday. Please tell us about your availability. Pay: $19.29 per hour. This position is eligible for Daily Pay! Part‑time employees in the Retail and Sales/Operations Division are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. JOB SUMMARY: The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers in a welcoming manner and responding in a timely and professional fashion to inquiries. Sales associates help maintain a well‑stocked and organized sales floor that meets company standards and operate a point‑of‑sale (POS) cash register system to ensure accurate product pricing at the time of purchase.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Verification of till counts, accurate cashier transactions, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer using a computer‑based POS system. Driving the roundup initiative by engaging customers and sharing knowledge of the mission. Providing excellent customer service upholding company values. Assisting customers with questions, concerns, and purchases. Completion of opening and closing procedures. Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product from racks, carts, baskets, and returning or disposing of unwanted items. Providing a safe, clean, organized, and well‑stocked POS, sales floor, and restrooms. Initiating customer delight/power hour calls over intercom to organize and clean the sales floor. Following all retail center policies and procedures. Following all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers. Cross‑training in other departments or areas; acting as a backup for other areas as required. Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience One (1) year of retail sales or cash handling experience is preferred. Other Must be accurate with numbers and general calculations and understand the value of different coins and US currency. Must be able to use basic math such as adding, subtracting, and multiplication. Must communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers. Must operate a computer‑based cash register and credit card machine. Must withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to eight (8) hours per day. Ability to see color for accurate transactions. Must work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.
