External Sanitation Technician (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: 19.50 - $ 20.15
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (must stay later if needed)
Training Requirement: Must complete training on 1st shift ( Deal Breaker )
Opportunity: Temp-to-Hire after 90 days

Position Breakdown:

External Sanitation Technician (Cleaning):

• Clean exterior parts of machinery (screens, buttons, surfaces)
• Perform floor cleaning (light janitorial duties)
• Work with less aggressive cleaning chemicals
• Focus on maintaining overall cleanliness of equipment and work areas

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment
• Follow Master Sanitation and Filler Sanitation schedules
• Adhere to all SOPs and food safety guidelines
• Safely handle sanitation chemicals
• Perform micro plating and interpret results (if applicable)
• Maintain accurate sanitation logs and records
• Identify process improvements and report issues to management
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
• Support team operations and complete additional tasks as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in food safety or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with chemicals or sanitation processes preferred
• Strong warehouse or stable work history is a plus
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Food Defense principles
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (overtime, weekends as needed)
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English (80–90% proficiency required)
• Strong attention to detail (especially for sanitation logs)
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Must be flexible and able to prioritize this role (no scheduling conflicts with second jobs preferred)
