Job Title Benchmarking and Building Performance Energy Analyst Job Overview Under the supervision of the Program and Project Supervisor of the Building Performance and Metrics Unit in the Existing Buildings Branch of the Efficiency Division, the incumbent is responsible for an average‑difficulty workload of consultative and analytical energy assignments in building energy benchmarking and building performance standards strategy development. The Existing Buildings Branch advances energy efficiency improvements and reduces greenhouse gas emissions in existing buildings through programs, policies, standards, and analyses. Responsibilities Perform consultative and analytical energy assignments related to building energy benchmarking. Assist in developing building performance standards strategy and related analyses. Contribute to programs, policies, and standards that advance energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in existing buildings. Minimum Qualifications The minimum qualifications for this classification can be found at CalHR. Applicants must demonstrate how they meet these qualifications. Education and alternative qualifications must be supported by transcripts or evaluated overseas transcripts when applicable. Desirable Qualifications Experience with building energy benchmarking. Experience with data systems supporting building energy benchmarking. Experience providing stakeholder support for statutory mandated programs. Ability to compile and analyze data or metrics. Experience working on an interdisciplinary team to achieve shared goals and outcomes.
