Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties in a surgical services department within a short-term acute care facility
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical procedures
• Participate in on-call coverage, including weekday and weekend call rotations as required by department needs
• Work weekend shifts in lieu of weekday shifts as needed to meet department staffing requirements
• Document and chart using Epic electronic health records system
• May be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as directed by department needs

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA Certification (CST) required
• Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required
• Valid state license or compact license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of candidate submittal
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler; locals are accepted at a modified rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of endovascular experience preferred
• Prior travel contract experience preferred
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
