We establish Key Performance Indicators, define Service Level Objectives and monitor compliance to them. Partnering with multiple teams, we address difficult problems that go beyond having simple answers.Partner with the bestAs a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, you will be a hands-on leader contributing to, and managing a team of US based site reliability engineers. Your team will collaborate across the organization to define, maintain, and improve the compute products operation and customers supportability. You will face some of the most complex challenges in distributed systems at scale.As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:Leading a team of site reliability engineers in developing and executing product operation and customer supportability plansAggregating the customer signal to drive products improvementsManaging on-call duty for the US based team as part of the global REAct teamShaping cross-team communication and collaboration to improve products operation and customer supportabilityDo what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or its equivalentDemonstrate a good track record of managing high-performance teams, delivering solutions and resolving issuesHave experience in operations, analysis, and troubleshooting of large distributed systems and with corresponding monitoring/logging/performance analytics toolsPossess good experience with Internet protocols and cloud technologiesHave relevant experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Bash, PerlDemonstrate fluency working in UNIX/Linux computing environments (e.g. internals, scripting and automation skills, etc.)Work in a way that works for youFlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world. The base salary for this position ranges from $134,466 - $214,782/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
