Industrial Account Manager

Industrial Account Manager - In the Field Raleigh/Durham, NC Responsibilities Manage, grow, and develop a sales territory with a matrix of distribution customers supporting all Stanley Black & Decker industrial solution brands: DeWalt, Stanley, Lenox, Proto, Irwin. Demonstrate the value of the full product portfolio and services by identifying target opportunities, running product trials, and providing cost‑savings analysis to customers. Identify end‑user applications to recommend the most cost‑effective products that improve customers’ economic efficiency, especially in sawing operations. Provide ongoing sales service, including sales analysis, inventory control, and promotions. Manage administrative aspects and timely reporting for all territory management areas: expense management (travel, samples), paperwork, forecasts, gap plans, upside opportunities, and other leadership requests. Keep distributors motivated and informed about products, focusing sales personnel on technical services as a value‑added service. Create and present a value‑based communication method with distribution and end users. Solve end‑user problems through troubleshooting, minor repairs, alignment, calibration, and product performance trials for optimum performance. Travel approximately 35% overnight within the territory. Qualifications Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field, or 5+ years equivalent trade experience in a shop environment. Minimum 2+ years direct sales experience in industrial sales (strongly preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Technical and mechanical ability to work with tools and machines. Proficiency with Salesforce.com or other CRM preferred. Demonstrated time‑management skills and ability to set priorities. Knowledge of hydraulic, electric, pneumatic, and mechanical systems preferable. Ability to develop and present programs to customers and the sales organization. Fluent in Spanish a plus. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits plan including medical, dental, life, vision, disability, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and partner discounts. Total target cash compensation range: $84,000.00 - $135,200.00, inclusive of base salary and variable cash compensation. Eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission and potential annual merit increases.
