Food Server- Maroon

DESCRIPTION:

Maroon is built on the story of the Jamaican Maroons, the concept embodies the spirit of resilience, resourcefulness, and the determination reflected in the Maroons' history and in the origins of jerk cooking, which emerged from survival, adaptation, and ingenuity. Chef Kwame Onwuachi is a "James Beard Award winning American Chef" known for his bold, modern expression of Afro-Caribbean and West African-influenced cuisine. Chef Kwame's mission is not only to serve food, but to create spaces that honor identity, empower com m unities, and make guests feel connected to a larger cultural story.

JOB FOCUS:

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
• Must be ALL ABOUT THE TEAM!
• Must "Put The Guest "1st"
• Must say "yes" and "thank you" often!
• Ensures a seamless guest experience
• Prepares table for service
• Acts as the food and cocktail tour guide, making personal recommendations along the way
• Possesses thorough knowledge of food and beverage menu in order to answer all questions from guests
• Serves food, wine and beverages
• Oversees all aspects of table service
• Provides direct service to guests by taking orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Delivers all requests from guests in a timely fashion
• Maintains, clears, and resets table set ups
• Inputs all orders into the POS system accurately
• Ensures work area is in compliance with the Southern Nevada Heath District health codes at all times
• Must be able to handle cash quickly and accurately
• Must be able to upsell
• Performs proper cash, comp, and check control procedures
• Performs opening, running, and closing side work
• Keeps all stations stocked by polishing and distributing China, glassware, and silverware

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least two (2) years' experience as a Server in a fine dining service preferred
• Wine and Spirit knowledge certificates
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain a valid Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card and Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card
• Has knowledge of food presentation, ingredients and preparation
• Has the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale systems
• Must have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitude
• Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at a time
• Must be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic and able to multitask
• Able to take initiative in a VIP driven and guest service focused environment
