MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Full-Time Manual Labor Huron, OH, US Title: Maintenance Technician Reports to: Production Supervisor and Manager at Mucci Pac Ltd. and Mucci Pac USA Ltd. Based at: Kingsville, Ontario and Taylor, MI. Revised: June 12, 2023 Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6-days a week, day shift or midnight shift and potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities; which could include possible Sunday shifts (unless stipulated otherwise in offer of employment). Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Supports preventative maintenance on the sealers Sets up and operates machine and adjusts controls that regulate operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications. Lubricates, oils, or applies adhesive, or other material to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures. Starts machine and observes mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect defects, malfunctions, or other machine damage. Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications. Transports machine parts, tools, equipment and other material between work areas and storage, using crane, hoist, or dolly. Inventories and requisitions machine parts, equipment, and other supplies to replenish and maintain stock. Records and maintains production, repair, and machine maintenance information. Reads work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. Performs general housekeeping tasks as well as small repairs throughout the facility and maintains building cosmetics at desired levels. Other ad hoc duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Mechanical abilities in order to help troubleshoot production issues. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate any machinery breakdown, material concerns or shortages to maintenance, production supervisor or manager. Physical Abilities: Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs. Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time. Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 C / 55 F. Job Requirements: The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leading by example.
