Packaging Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Development Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of customized packaging solutions for consumer products. This role oversees the packaging development process from initial concept through final production, ensuring designs meet customer expectations, quality standards, technical requirements, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage packaging projects, timelines, budgets, sampling, and approvals from concept to production.
• Coordinate the development of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions.
• Review technical specifications, prototypes, dimensions, colors, and artwork for accuracy and quality.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, performance, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with Marketing, RD, Procurement, Quality, and Production teams to ensure packaging feasibility and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and implement process improvements.
• Monitor packaging trends, materials, and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Lead and develop packaging team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of packaging development experience, preferably in cosmetics, personal care, or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
• Proven project management, supplier negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in CAD, packaging design software, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
