Manager In TrainingTurner's Outdoorsman is seeking a Manager In Training (MIT) to join the team. The Turner's Outdoorsman Manager In Training assists the Store Manager as the business and cultural leader of the store team, responsible for achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth as well as understanding, practicing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner's brand and the company culture. The Manager In Training is a retail professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service, who possesses the ability to teach these skills to the team and ultimately lead by example.Essential FunctionsProvides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanshipEnsures customers enjoy a full service and high value shopping experienceReceives stock accurately and displays merchandiseOperates the Hunting Department along with other store operationsMakes daily assignments and provides supervision of store employees on a daily basisReleases customer firearmsSources, places and follows up on ordersResponsible for accuracy in audits, match ups, and check inSupervises paperwork ensuring accuracyAbility to work in teams and with various levels of management and personnelPerform other duties as assigned which includes but not limited to covering employee shifts, breaks and/or lunches in other departments as neededPhysical RequirementsResponsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistanceMust be able to use both hands when handling a firearmMust be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programsMust be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shiftTravel RequirementsOccasional travel is required (approximately 15% of the time-participating in events, training seminars, corporate meetings or opening new store locations)HoursAt least 45 hours per week are required, variedRequests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periodsQualificationsHigh school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferredFluent in EnglishMust have at possess sales experience in a leading roleKnowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferredLegally eligible to work in a firearms environmentMust be 21 years or olderCustomer service experience requiredCertificate of Eligibility RequiredMust be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environmentExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsExudes patience, adaptability, takes initiativeWorks with integrity, a high level of energy and has a high tolerance of stressTurner's Outdoorsman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
