We measure our success by how well we protect and care for our team, our consumers, our animals, and our environment, while delivering operational excellence and exceptional value to our customers.Position SummaryThe primary functions of this position are to clean, set up and assemble kitchen equipment, form batches of filling, shred cheese, chill filling, complete appropriate documentation as needed, and ensure filling is being produced in a timely manner for production. The cook assistant will need to be HACCP trained and document HACCP times and temperatures, as well as assist with inventories and housekeeping dutiesJob Functions:Operate cheese grinder to grind cheese according to recipe, fill gondolas with ground cheese, cover and labelObtain and fill containers, vats or tubs of meat, beans, cheese and other ingredients, move to cook station as neededTransport full gondolas to cooler or cook station as requiredPosition full gondola of finished product to chiller station and add chilling mixture to batch. Transport finished batches to cooler storage areas as required. Complete CCP1 & CCP2 HACCP documentationObtain pallets of cheese blocks from cooler, transport to grinding station and manually cut cheese blocks into sectionsReport to assigned workstation and obtain tools, check equipment and check recipe as requiredObtain work schedule, obtain paperwork and prepare for operationsAt end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperworkQualifications:Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools required for the job.Must be able to perform all job functions safely.Must meet the company standards for the job.Must be able to follow instructions.Must be able to understand and follow all written SSOP's.Must be able to understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferredFoster Farms is always looking for talented individuals to join the Foster Farms Team.
