As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Representative in Suffolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this unarmed role, you will support daily operations through strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and/or exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor traffic, and following location protocols for deliveries and guests.
• Support day-to-day operations at a technology-focused location by communicating with site contacts, providing directions, and assisting with security-related concerns in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
