Emergency Veterinary Receptionist

Animal Clinic Northview is seeking compassionate, professional, and fast-paced Emergency Veterinary Receptionists to join our growing emergency team. As one of the first people our clients interact with during stressful and emotional situations, this role is critical to creating a calm, supportive, and organized experience for both pets and their families.

Animal Clinic Northview is a 35-doctor, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital providing 24/7 emergency and specialty care just west of Cleveland. We are proud to deliver high-quality medicine while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.

What You'll Do

• Greet and check in emergency and scheduled patients
• Support clients during urgent and emotional situations with empathy and professionalism
• Answer multi-line phones and assist with emergency inquiries
• Schedule appointments and communicate updates to clients
• Process invoices and client payments accurately
• Room and weigh patients for doctors and technicians
• Maintain clean exam rooms and waiting areas
• Provide education and information to clients as directed by medical staff
• Support the hospital team in a fast-paced and unpredictable emergency environment
• Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, assistants, and fellow reception team members

What We're Looking For

• Previous veterinary or animal healthcare experience required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and organized during emergencies
• Comfortable multitasking in a busy hospital setting
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
• Compassionate and patient with both clients and coworkers
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to stand and move throughout shifts and lift up to 40 pounds
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed

Schedule

Part-Time (<30 hours weekly)

• Saturdays: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sundays: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

8-hour shifts

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay at $15/hour
• Shift differential pay of $22.95/hour during designated ER shifts
• Health insurance eligibility after 30 days
