Junior Developer

Salary: $44,000 - 72,000 per year Requirements:

• Foundational knowledge of software development principles, programming logic, and application design.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL queries and relational databases.
• Familiarity with source code repositories and version control, preferably Git.
• Understanding of development practices such as testing, debugging, documentation, and code maintenance.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Preferred, but not required: experience with EDI (including X12), Microsoft 365 or Office 365 development and integrations, Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, C# and .NET, REST APIs, JSON, XML, system integrations, or development in transportation, logistics, or related industries.
• Education or experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience, independent learning, personal projects, and demonstrated technical ability are also considered.

• Help design, develop, test, and maintain applications and integrations that support our business operations.
• Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Use repositories and version control tools such as Git to manage development work.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools to support coding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving in accordance with our security and development standards.
• Assist with EDI integrations, data mapping, and troubleshooting electronic transactions with customers and business partners.
• Support existing applications, investigate reported issues, and implement enhancements.
• Work with developers, IT colleagues, and business departments to understand needs and build practical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, and processes.
• Take part in application testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Research technologies and find opportunities to improve processes through development and automation.
