Job Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments by conducting physical exams and reviewing extensive medical histories.
• Assist in evaluating surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results.
• Work hand in hand with surgeons to create and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for each patient.
• Provide critical intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and handling surgical instruments during procedures.
• Facilitate outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program.
• Completion of clinical rotations with a strong emphasis on surgical practice is highly preferred.

Certifications Needed

• Current and unrestricted PA-C designation.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
• State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant.
