About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to take on a pivotal role in leading and managing the legal and risk management function. This senior position requires a strategic and experienced legal professional with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a minimum of 10 years' progressive legal experience, particularly in the energy, renewables, infrastructure, or related sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal activities, including commercial transactions, project development, M&A, and project finance. Key responsibilities for the Deputy General Counsel include serving as the primary legal advisor on complex and business-critical issues, providing strategic legal guidance, and driving continuous improvement of legal operations. The role also involves leading, mentoring, and developing a team of legal professionals, as well as managing external counsel relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, be a recognized subject matter expert in legal matters, and possess the executive presence and credibility to represent the legal function effectively.
