Summary

The Material Handler plays a vital role in supporting efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring the accurate movement, storage, and handling of materials throughout the facility. This role directly impacts production flow by maintaining organized inventory, delivering materials to production lines, and ensuring all processes are executed in compliance with safety standards and established SOPs. Success in this role ensures operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Material Handling & Inventory Control

• Execute the receipt, storage, movement, and issuing of materials in accordance with established SOPs.
• Deliver materials to production lines to support uninterrupted operations.
• Transfer finished materials from production lines to designated inventory locations.
• Organize, consolidate, and maintain inventory within the warehouse.
• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation to ensure accuracy.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

• Operate industrial equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers to move materials and load trucks.
• Conduct daily inspections and perform basic maintenance checks on assigned equipment.

Systems & Documentation

• Utilize and update the company's ERP system in alignment with SOP requirements.
• Ensure accurate electronic recordkeeping related to material movement and inventory.

Safety & Workplace Standards

• Work in strict accordance with company safety and health guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to support safe and efficient operations.

Additional Duties

• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager to support business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a warehouse environment focused on shipping and receiving.
• Previous forklift certification required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems.
• Effective verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Self-motivated, safety-focused, and quality-driven mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of regular job duties.
