3rd Shift – Refill Material Handler

3rd Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12 AM – 8 PM

Pay: $18/hr

Basic Function:

Move materials through the manufacturing plant mostly via forklift

Primary Responsibilities:

• Through the company, obtain a forklift license to operate powered or nonpowered material handling equipment.
• Move materials to and from assigned areas using the powered or non-powered equipment.
• Stock machines with correct cartons from the carton staging areas; this requires the operator to know the fasteners by product code.
• Verify that the completed product is coded correctly.
• Following EHS company guidelines, properly dispose of solid and liquid waste materials using established procedures.
• Maintain the assigned area, making sure it is clear.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be organized and keep accurate records of production count and materials moved.
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Mental and visual concentration must be maintained while on the floor.
• Has average manual dexterity.
• Must be able to learn and understand procedures for formulation of lubricants, reformulation of coating, waste material disposal, fastener codes, necessary markings, and proper stacking requirements for fastener production.

Requirements:

• Must have proficient math skills and be able to read, write, add, and subtract.
• Must know or be able to learn the functions of various lubricants, oils, greases, solvents, and coatings.
• Must obtain a forklift license to operate powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
• Must be able to use various small hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
• Must be able to pass our forklift certification/recertification course.
• 100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry +/- 75 pounds.
• Must be able to withstand continuous exposure to disagreeable noise, dirt, and fumes within the OSHA allowance.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.
• 50% of the time spent standing throughout the shift.
