Medical Payment Poster- Houston, Texas77092 Job Duties and Responsibilities: Read and understand EOB’s from all carriers Perform electronic remittance processing through Waystar/Zirmed Manually enter patient payments and insurance checks Process credit card payments Review and process overpayments on the patient accounts Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills Must be result oriented and maintain quality results by following company standards Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable Analytical and multi-tasking skills are required Must be able to identify inconsistencies and provide solutions Ability to learn laboratory procedures and protocols Ability to balance daily between billing system and bank accounts Must have good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in multiple billing entities and/or systems Ability to work overtime when needed Ensure confidentiality of patient information by following HIPAA guidelines Maintain a high level of professionalism with patients/customers and internal staff Ability to be flexible with changing business needs Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment QualificationsJob Qualifications: High-school or equivalent Minimum 3-5 years of experience in medical payment posting experience or equivalent, preferably in a pathology lab setting Required Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel required Will require the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and accuracy Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type, file, sit for extended periods of time and lift office supplies up to 20 pounds.
