As a therapy professional, you will help patients achieve functional progress and improve quality of life within a supportive, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Provide direct rehabilitation care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate. Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions in line with departmental and regulatory standards. Use therapy software appropriately and accurately. Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients. Read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information. Follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures. Adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete mandatory Code of Conduct and other compliance training. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP). ASHA certified (CCCs) OR eligible for a 9‑month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria. Once achieved, must maintain ASHA credentialing. New graduates welcome to apply. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e‑mail. Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in post‑acute care facilities. Understand and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department. Perform proficiently in all competency areas including patient rights, and safety and sanitation. Liaison with patients, families, support departments, and others. Knowledge of how to oversee and evaluate care given by SLP CFYs (SLP CCC only). Follow speech therapy treatment plans for patients under the direction of the supervising SLP CCC (SLP CFY only). #J-18808-Ljbffr
