Associate Veterinarian

Job Description

Job Description

Looking for a practice where you can grow your skills, enjoy a supportive team, and build lasting relationships with clients?
This opportunity in the Rochester area offers a mix of primary veterinary care and urgent appointments, with room for both early-career and experienced veterinarians to thrive.

You'll work with a team that values collaboration, practical client education, and thoughtful patient care. Whether you're building confidence as a newer doctor or bringing established clinical experience, you'll have colleagues available to discuss cases and help you navigate clinical decisions.

Why This Opportunity Deserves a Look

• Support at every career stage: Newer veterinarians can continue developing their skills, while experienced doctors can bring their own interests and perspective to the team.

• A collaborative clinical environment: Access to colleagues for case discussions and second opinions when needed.

• A varied caseload: Combine everyday wellness and medical care with urgent cases involving cats and dogs.

• Predictable scheduling: A defined weekly schedule with rotating Saturday coverage.

• Earning potential without negative accrual: Base compensation plus production opportunities, so production pay is not reduced by negative accrual.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a small-animal practice focused on primary care and urgent care. The role includes diagnosing and treating patients, performing appropriate procedures, educating clients, and helping pet owners understand treatment choices within their circumstances.

You'll be part of a broader clinical team that includes veterinary technicians and support staff, allowing you to focus on patient care while collaborating across the practice.

Who Might Be a Good Fit

This role could suit a recent graduate seeking a supportive start, an early-career veterinarian ready to broaden their experience, or an established DVM looking for a collaborative professional home.

A DVM or equivalent degree is required, along with New York veterinary licensure in good standing before starting. DEA licensure or eligibility is also required.

• Employment: Full-time

• Compensation: Annual range starting at 130,000–160,000, depending on credentials and experience
