System Testing and Evaluation Specialist When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, a test engineering expert who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible. Role Overview As a test engineer on our team, you’ll lead your team as they work with testers, developers, and engineers to evaluate software developed for the Army customer. You’ll oversee the creation of a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automation to streamline, you’ll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of testers, developers, and engineers in evaluating software for the Army customer. Oversee the creation and execution of test plans and test cases derived from user stories. Use automation to generate data, run test cases, and monitor software performance. Document test results and communicate defects to the development team for remediation. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience with program management, including managing complex IT projects. Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or IT (DoDM 8140.03 for Defensive Cyber Workforce). TS/SCI security clearance. Advanced Level Certification (Work Role 801) and PMI Certification such as PgMP or PMP. ITIL 4 Foundation and Managing Professional Framework Certification. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Agile methodologies and project tools. Experience writing Performance Work Statements (PWS) or Statements of Work (SOW). Experience reviewing vendor proposals and managing vendor contracts and SLAs. Knowledge of DoD project or program management practices. Ability to lead large, multifunctional teams of 150+ personnel independently and manage risks and conflicts across workstreams. Master’s degree in Project Management or IT. SAFe Program Consultant Certification. Clearance and Eligibility Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a TS/SCI clearance is required. Compensation Salary ranges from $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). Compensation is determined by location, education, skills, and contract considerations.
