Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in a skilled nursing facility setting to restore and improve functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Florida
- NBCOT certification required
- Previous clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Ability to fulfill a 13-week contract assignment
- Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) environment
- Familiarity with Medicare documentation and compliance requirements
- Experience with restorative and rehabilitative OT techniques in a geriatric population
