Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine to perform advanced obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound procedures in a high-risk clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in fetal anatomy imaging, fetal monitoring, and OB/GYN diagnostic ultrasound procedures while providing compassionate patient-centered care. This role requires advanced technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support physicians during specialized diagnostic and invasive procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform specialized obstetric, fetal, and gynecologic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols. Conduct fetal anatomy scans, biophysical profiles, Doppler studies, nuchal translucency scans, and advanced fetal imaging procedures. Prepare, document, and review high-quality ultrasound images and reports to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Perform fetal monitoring tests and assist physicians during invasive diagnostic or surgical procedures. Support procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and other maternal fetal medicine interventions. Educate and communicate effectively with patients and families while providing compassionate care in sensitive clinical situations. Maintain compliance with AIUM, ARDMS, and departmental imaging standards and protocols. Utilize electronic health record systems and radiology applications for scheduling, patient tracking, image management, and documentation. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring quality imaging and patient safety. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography program required. ARRT or RDMS registration required or obtained within one year of hire. Current ARDMS OB/GYN certification required. Current AHA BLS certification required. Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification required or must be obtained within six months of hire. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine or high-risk OB/GYN ultrasound required. Experience with pelvic and endovaginal ultrasound, fetal anatomy scans, Doppler studies, 3D/4D imaging, fetal monitoring, and invasive OB procedures required. Fetal Echocardiography experience preferred. Strong skills in patient communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving required. Proficiency with ultrasound equipment, EHR systems, and radiology imaging software required. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and emotionally sensitive patient care environments required.
