Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric cancer patients in a Radiation Oncology unit, including both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform IV access and port access; administer medications, hydration, and injections as ordered
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Interpretation Services)
- Assist with Radiation Therapy-related procedures and ensure accurate, timely documentation in the charting system (EPIC)
- Maintain unit safety, support procedures, and participate in routine nursing assessments and care planning

Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- BLS certification
- EPIC proficiency (required)
- Radiation Oncology nursing experience: 3 years; IV and port access experience required
- Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Start-of-contract compliance items: recent Nursys verification; certifications uploaded; NY license active at submission
- Travel assignment experience preferred; 2 years in specialty considered for travel submissions per compliance notes
- Work authorization to practice in the listed setting; ability to float within the hospital as needed
