Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Registered Nurse - Radiation Oncology

Schedule: Monday–Friday; no weekends, holidays, or call

Requirements:

• Active RN license in New York
• BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Radiation oncology experience required
• IV and port access experience required
• Charting experience with EPIC preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adults and geriatric patients in a radiation oncology setting.
• Administer radiation therapy and related procedures, including SpacerOAR procedures and injections.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and provide appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expected outcomes.

Compliance/Notes:

• Orientation: 40 hours of mandatory training required.
• Certify that HealthStream modules are completed by the specified deadline prior to start.
• Flu vaccine required starting 12/5, with exemption requests for medical or religious reasons needing prior approval.
