Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Radiation Oncology

SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday; no weekends, holidays, or call

REQUIREMENTS
- Active RN license in New York
- BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- Radiation Oncology experience required
- IV and port access experience required
- Charting experience with EPIC preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Travel experience preferred

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nursing care to adults and geriatric patients in a radiation oncology setting.
- Administer radiation therapy and related procedures, including SpacerOAR procedures and injections.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient care.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and provide appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expected outcomes.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation: 40 hours of mandatory training required.
- Certify that HealthStream modules are completed by the specified deadline prior to start.
- Flu vaccine required starting 12/5, with exemption requests for medical or religious reasons needing prior approval.
