Sr. Staff Data Engineer

Sr Staff Data Engineer - GE07DE Responsibilities Serve as the subject matter expert and/or technical lead for large‑scale data products. Drive end‑to‑end solution delivery across multiple platforms and technologies, focusing on ELT solutions to acquire, integrate and operationalize data. Partner with architects and stakeholders to influence and implement pipeline and data product architecture while safeguarding integrity and scalability. Articulate risks, trade‑offs and technical solutions to senior leaders and business stakeholders. Maintain accountability for data pipeline and product physical solution designs across teams and recommend tools. Evaluate and assess open‑source tools and frameworks. Maintain and enforce Data Engineering Practices across all involved teams. Research and experiment with leading big‑data methodologies (AWS, Hadoop/EMR, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Talend) and hybrid hosting solutions. Conduct market research to stay current with emerging data and analytics technologies, tools, techniques and frameworks. Evaluate, recommend and influence technology‑based decisions for tools and frameworks to enable effective delivery. Telecommuting available. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. 5 years of experience in a software development or data engineering‑related occupation. 5 years of experience in each of the following areas: programming; SDLC practices; distributed systems; data warehousing solutions, including SQL and NoSQL; and ETL tools. 3 years of experience in each of the following areas: CI/CD; big data; cloud technologies, including AWS and Azure; Python or Spark; DataMesh; data lake; Snowflake; AWS; developing and operating production workloads in cloud infrastructure; and SDLC, including Agile/iterative methodologies and toolsets. Salary Range $149,568.00 to $184,920.00 per year.
