The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles including passenger cars, light trucks and SUVs, as well as heavy-duty trucks. This role involves working independently to ensure vehicle safety and performance while effectively communicating repair processes and maintenance advice to customers. The technician plays a key part in sustaining vehicle reliability through expert diagnostics and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair and maintain engines, brake systems, transmissions, and electrical components
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Replace worn or damaged parts to maintain vehicle performance
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment
• Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities
• Communicate clearly with customers about repairs, maintenance plans, and address complaints

Preferred Qualification

• ASE Certification
• Experience with automotive diagnostics and engine repair
• Knowledge of brake system maintenance, transmission repair, and electrical system troubleshooting
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team when necessary
