May also be utilized as a Bedside Assistant, observing, interacting with and providing care to patients requiring 1:1 supervision.Position Reports To: Unit Clinical Manager/DirectorEssential FunctionsPerform related assignments and tasks as requested in order to promote positive visitor, family, and staff relations.Provides high quality patient care in a caring and compassionate manor. Reports any observed change in patient condition or behavior promptly to the nurse. Ensures patient care tasks are completed timely.Performs or assists with duties as outlined in the CNA Scope of Practice under the direction of the Registered Nurse.Maintains a clean and safe environment for patient and staff according to hospital and unit policies. Demonstrates competence in providing care routines in accordance with established nursing care procedure to ensure patients' comfort and safety.Takes and records vital signs, height, weight, intake and output, and other measurements as applicable, in an accurate and timely manner.
