Candidate should have aconstruction, building or property maintenance background and mustpossess a valid driver license. Candidate must have ability toresearch, interpret and enforce local and UCC codes, investigatecomplaints about potential code violations, among other duties.Computer knowledge is required. Emphasis of the position is onproperty maintenance and enforcement issues within the Borough.Preferred qualities are a self-motivated, highly organized andhardworking individual that works well with a team, with the publicand public officials. Current Building Code Official certificationis encouraged. Vehicle provided while working. Twenty-eight hoursweekly; must be available (Tuesdays) for court appearances, asneeded.
