Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Active state license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Must have experience with telemetry and managing multiple patient diagnoses. Description: This position requires working in a mixed unit of PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg. Patient ratios will be 1:4 on all shifts. Weekend availability is required, with shifts on Friday and Saturday evenings. Candidates will float within the service line, as needed. Floating may occur between multiple facilities. Expected patient age group is adults. Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, GI bleeds, and pneumonia. Special procedures involved include caring for bariatric surgery patients and managing various surgical drains. Key skills required include interpretation of dysrhythmias, TPN titration, IV therapy, and wound care. Experience with computerized charting using Epic is essential. The facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive acute care. This role may involve supporting interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services. Travelers will be expected to meet all clinical and administrative requirements of the position. This position offers an opportunity to gain diverse experience in a dynamic work environment.
