Case Administrator - Telford Probation Office

About the Role Case Administrators support probation teams to keep the public safe and help people turn their lives around. They work within a range of settings including courts, prisons, community programmes and other probation service functions. Working Pattern 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with an additional evening shift until 7:00 pm on one night per week on rota. Salary and Progression Starting salary: £24,645, with annual pay progression through a Competency-Based Framework (CBF). New entrants start at the entry point of the pay band; existing civil servants receive salary adjustments based on department pay on transfer/promotion rules. Key Responsibilities Ensure administrative processes run efficiently and maintain accurate probation information for case files. Coordinate communication and handle enquiries from colleagues, agencies and people on probation in a busy environment. Support probation staff across diverse settings such as Accredited Programmes, Courts, Prisons, Community Integration, Performance & Quality, and Personality Disorder Projects. Maintain information systems and update case records with relevant documentation. Qualifications Empathy, patience, and strong organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Experience or understanding of administrative support within a social care or public sector setting is desirable. Right to work in the United Kingdom.
