Level 1 Technician

Our client has a brand new opportunity for a qualified Level 1 Technician to join their team onsite in McLean, VA. Duties and Responsibilities: Set up and configure employee workstations, including: Docking stations Monitors Cables and peripherals Verify proper functionality of workstation equipment prior to employee use Troubleshoot basic hardware and connectivity issues related to: Docking stations Monitors and display settings Keyboard and mouse peripherals Power and cable connections Respond to employee requests for assistance when equipment is not functioning correctly Perform basic cable management and workstation organization Escalate unresolved technical issues to appropriate support teams Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence while supporting end users Document and communicate recurring issues or equipment concerns to project leadership Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in desktop support, field services, help desk, or technical support roles preferred Experience setting up and troubleshooting: Desktop and laptop hardware Peripheral devices Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Understanding of workstation connectivity and cable management Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs. Wage Range: The rate for this position is between $18.70 - $22.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
