Company: Marin General Hospital dba MarinHealth Medical Center Compensation Range: $62.88 - $94.32 Work Shift: 8 Hour (days) (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Job Description Summary Compensation: The anticipated hiring range for this position is $78.60-$94.32 per hour (midpoint to maximum), reflecting the experience expected for the RTT II level. Placement within the range will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and applicable compensation practices. Sign-On Bonus: This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, paid over a two-year commitment: $5,000 following completion of the first year of employment and $5,000 following the second year, subject to applicable taxes and the terms of the sign-on bonus agreement. The Radiotherapy Technologist delivers safe, accurate, patient-centered radiation therapy in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription, approved treatment plan, departmental procedures, applicable regulatory requirements, and MarinHealth standards. The role operates radiation therapy and simulation equipment, verifies treatment parameters and patient positioning, monitors patient response, maintains complete treatment documentation, participates in quality and safety activities, and collaborates closely with Radiation Oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, nursing, and other members of the care team. The Radiotherapy Technologist is expected to demonstrate sound clinical judgment, timely escalation, technical accuracy, compassionate communication, and MarinHealth C.A.R.E.S. behaviors in every patient and team interaction. Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions Job Specifications Education: Required: Associate degree from an accredited radiation therapy technology program. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy, healthcare, or a related field. Experience: Preferred: Two (2) or more years of Radiation Therapist experience in a progressive radiation oncology environment. New graduates who otherwise meet required education, licensure/certification, and demonstrated competency requirements may be considered based on department needs. License and Certifications: American Register of Rad Techs (ARRT) required at hire. Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification - California Society of Radiologic Technologists (TRTC) required at hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire. Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) required within 30 days of hire. Prerequisite Skills: Demonstrated ability to safely and accurately operate radiation treatment and simulation equipment within established scope, policy, and competency requirements. Working knowledge of radiation therapy principles, treatment delivery, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, radiation safety, infection prevention, and applicable clinical procedures. Ability to accurately interpret and follow treatment prescriptions, treatment plans, setup instructions, imaging guidance, and documented clinical procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform patient identification, positioning, immobilization, localization, imaging, and treatment verification with consistent attention to accuracy and safety. Ability to recognize changes in patient condition, treatment-related symptoms, equipment concerns, or variances from the treatment plan and promptly elevate to the appropriate clinical or technical resource. Demonstrated commitment to radiation safety and ALARA principles, including adherence to quality assurance, incident-prevention, and emergency/downtime procedures. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills in a fast-paced patient care environment.
