Responsibilities Restore function, independence, and quality of life for patients across a wide range of care settings. Hands-on, collaborative, and deeply impactful work ideal for someone who thrives on clinical problem-solving and meaningful patient connection. Evaluate and treat patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served. Oversee and insure a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient. Promote patient and caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence. Coordinate and communicate with various disciplines or services involved in patient care. Coordinate efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and throughout the episode of care. Act as a patient advocate. Perform other duties as assigned. Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care and home health care. Qualifications Physical Therapist: Less than one year experience in physical therapy. Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferred. Basic computer skills required. Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting. Detailed knowledge of physical therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, including interpretation of data. Type of Opportunity Full time. FTE: 1.00.
