Pulmonary and Critical Care, Academic Clinician - AssistantProfessor Location: Philadelphia, PA Open Date: Oct 18, 2024 Deadline: Oct 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in theDepartment of Medicine at thePerelman School of Medicine at theUniversity of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several AssistantProfessor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants shouldbe board certified in Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary andcritical care fellows, house staff and medical students. Theacademic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of activeand high-quality teaching. Clinical responsibilities may include attending on the inpatientand medical critical care service as well as providing services inthe outpatient ILD clinic. Selected candidates will work withadvanced practice providers and/or trainees. Proficiency inconsultation and diagnosis for ongoing treatment of critically illpatients in the ICU unit is required. Rounding on the inpatientservices for advanced lung disease and participating in a busyoutpatient clinical practice at the Hospital of the University ofPennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the Michael J.Crescenz VA Medical Center may be required.
