We are looking to add a Proposal Engineer for Power Projects to our Cranberry Township, PA office. You will be an essential part of the North America Power Projects Proposals organization as a proposal engineer leading retrofit proposal support . You will lead the preparation of power project offers for our customers in the power industry. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Prepare DCS proposals for power industry projects in response to customer requests for proposals. Define proposal strategies that align with customer specifications, based on organizational goals, market insight, and expert process and product knowledge. Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost‑effective solutions. Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson’s capabilities and understand application needs. Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning. Support presentations, interviews, and negotiations utilizing a thorough understanding of customer applications and Emerson capabilities and products. Partner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages. For This Role, You Will Need: BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Knowledgeable in distributed control systems (DCS) and/or process operation. Ability to travel up to 15% of the time. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Experience with control systems such as PLC or SCADA. Knowledge of or experience with the Ovation™ DCS platform. Background in proposal development, cost estimating, or project engineering.
